These Terms of Use govern your use of the CStory mobile application ("App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share information (including for analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement and tracking permissions on supported platforms).
1. Service Description
CStory provides access to audio Bible stories with illustrations, available via subscription plans (e.g., weekly, monthly). Content is for personal, non-commercial use only.
2. Subscriptions and Payments
Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play.
Payment is charged upon purchase confirmation.
Refunds are managed by Apple/Google under their policies.
We do not issue refunds for unused subscription periods.
3. Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew for the same price and duration as the original plan (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly), unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
You can manage or disable auto-renewal at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings or Google Play Account Settings.
Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) will be forfeited upon subscription purchase.
4. Permissions
The App requires audio and background audio playback permissions to deliver continuous listening.
The App does not record or access your microphone.
Permissions are used solely for playback of App content.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
Apple StoreKit 2 for subscription management and in-app purchases.
Amplitude, a third-party analytics service, to understand how the App is used and to improve the product. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”) services, including the Facebook SDK and related technologies, to send app events (such as app opens, subscription-related actions, and in-app engagement that we configure) to Meta. These events may be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising, attribute installs and conversions to campaigns, and optimize how we promote the App. Processing by Meta is described in our Privacy Policy and in Meta’s own policies (including Meta’s Data Policy), as linked from our Privacy Policy or from Meta’s sites.
On iOS, Apple may show a system prompt about allowing tracking across other companies’ apps and websites. Whether you allow or deny that request, and how we use that choice for advertising measurement, is described in our Privacy Policy. Your device settings may also let you change this choice later.
You acknowledge that when you use the App, certain information may be collected and processed by these providers in accordance with their terms and our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information for money. How we share data with Meta and others, and what choices you may have (including device-level settings where applicable), are explained in the Privacy Policy.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
Misuse the App, engage in unauthorized access, or disrupt services.
Copy, redistribute, modify, or resell App content.
Use the App in violation of applicable laws.
7. Intellectual Property
All audio, illustrations, design, code, and trademarks remain the property of CStory and its licensors.
8. Audio Content Usage
All Bible story audio content is provided under a limited, non-exclusive license for personal, non-commercial use only.
You may not redistribute, copy, modify, or create derivative works from the audio content.
All audio content is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
9. System API Access
The App accesses the following system APIs for essential functionality:
File Timestamp APIs: for managing and organizing audio files.
System Boot Time APIs: for performance monitoring and app optimization.
User Defaults APIs: for storing user preferences locally on your device.
Audio Session APIs: for audio playback and background audio functionality.
This API access is limited to core app functionality. Additional disclosures may appear in our Privacy Policy and in platform-required privacy documentation (such as a privacy manifest) where applicable.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, including usage and device-related data for product improvement and analytics, and how we use Meta tools for advertising measurement and related purposes, including App Tracking Transparency where applicable. Where we provide a Privacy Manifest or similar disclosures for app stores, those documents are intended to align with our practices as described in the Privacy Policy and with applicable platform rules. If there is any inconsistency between a summary in the App and the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls.
11. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
We are not liable for interruptions, device compatibility issues, or service errors.
Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the period in question.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Certain provisions (e.g., intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which QYAI TECH LIMITED is incorporated. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
